Hook Alexa skill is available through the Amazon Alexa App. Just search for 'Hook smart home' in the Alexa App. Alternatively, you can use this link to enable Hook skill: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MZHXYSJ/
Usage: "Alexa turn ON <Your Device Name>," for example, "Alexa turn ON table lamp" or "Alexa, turn OFF table lamp."
There a few things to note:
- Hook Alexa skill currently only understands On or Off commands for devices. If you have particular actions on your device, it won't work right now. You can use the Hook app to rename the action names to align with Echo. Refresh the action names by asking Alexa to discover devices.
- You will not be able to control the groups created in the Hook app from Echo; you can, however, create a group in Echo and link multiple devices to it.
- Rename the device to something simpler that Alexa could understand before running discovery. Like LR Lamp 1 is probably difficult for Alexa. Change it to something simple like Table Lamp. You will need to re-run discovery if you edit the device name or add more devices after the initial setup.
